UAE Golf Online started with a simple idea: golf in this region deserved to be documented properly.
When we launched in 2009, Golf in the UAE and wider region was already changing quickly. The aim at that time was to create a place that covered the courses, tournaments, people and stories shaping the game.

WHY BRING IT BACK?
The internet changed.
Golf in the region changed.
We needed to be reinvent too.
The goal is not to restart the old daily-news treadmill. The new website is being built around useful, longer-lasting golf discovery — courses, destinations, golf travel, communities, Golfapedia and the archive.
The archive preserves where the site came from, while the new platform is about making that history useful and helping golfers discover what the UAE and wider Middle East offer now.

We began in 2009 as an independent golf platform covering the growth of the game across the UAE and wider Middle East. Over the years that included UAE golf news, tournament coverage, interviews, golf course development, travel, club information and digital publishing.
The site followed major professional and amateur events, new courses taking shape, changing destinations and the people helping to develop golf across the region. Much of that work now forms the brands archive.

Built around helping discovery
The new version is being developed as a modern golf destination and discovery platform for the UAE and Middle East. The focus is shifting away from daily news towards useful, longer-lasting information about golf courses, destinations, golf travel, communities and places to stay and play.
Golfapedia, destination guides, travel content and the historic archive bring those different parts together, with future planning tools designed to make exploring golf across the region easier.
