Al Badia Golf Club would like to congratulate Mr. Mark Fitzpatrick for winning the Wednesday Social Competition on the 9th March.
The conditions were beautiful at Al Badia Golf Club and ideal for low scoring. The title came down to Mark Fitzpatrick and Mark Barge as the other challengers fell away over the last few holes. Both players started their rounds slowly with only 3 points between them on the opening 3 holes.
It wasn’t until the tough 4th hole that their rounds took shape with both players making gross par’s and for Mr. Barge it would be worth 4 points. It was then at the penultimate hole when Mr. Fitzpatrick made his move making gross birdie and 4 points on the par 5, 8th hole.
On the same hole Mr. Barge could only salvage 1 point. So it came down to the last hole and even though Mr. Barge made an impressive 4 points, Mr. Fitzpatrick also managed a solid 4 for 3 points and won the completion by 3 points.’ We look forward to another exciting event next Wednesday.
