Korean players Joung Du Lee and Hoseob Park sealed victory in the BMW Members and Guest Social by five shots. The format of Betterball and Foursomes is always a difficult combination for the golfers but the Lee and Park partnership clicked on the day to sign for a five under nett. They carded five under alone on the front nine with 31 nett and steered the ship with 36 nett on the back nine.
The morning winners were the inform partnership of Rory Thomson and Ian Plant, fresh off a third place finish in the Golf Society Cup last week, with 72 nett. The winners of the front nine in the morning was Vivian Verma and Rizal Ibrahim with 34 nett and back nine was Ramli Sulaiman and Abdul Latif with 37 nett.
The afternoon scoring was a lot lower than the morning with conditions cooling down for the field to card some great scores. The husband and wife duo of Catherine and Martin Geskes carded a three under 33 nett to that the spoils for the front nine. The twosome of ex captain Mel Stewart and staff member Eric Tanghal dove tailed their way to one over and 37 nett to take the back nine prizes. The next event will take place on Saturday November 8th with a large field expected with all the winter golfers returning back from their summer break.
