Al Ghazal Golf Club

Traditional Sand Golf in Abu Dhabi

Al Ghazal Golf Club preserves an important part of UAE golf history with an 18-hole sand course where the game is played across desert fairways and prepared brown putting surfaces rather than conventional grass greens.

Opened in 1997, the par-71 layout measures around 6,711 yards and remains open to visiting golfers as well as members. It offers a very different experience from the UAE’s resort and championship grass courses, and a direct link to the region’s earlier golf culture.
