Brian and Terri Stewart got their season off to a flying start by winning the opening event of the year the ‘Back in the Swing’. With the Winter Season now officially started it was time to dust of the clubs ready to take part in a relaxing 2 person scramble. With 18 pairs battling it out under the still sweltering weather, Brian and Terri combined perfectly together for a score of 66.6 to begin their season campaigns in the best possible way. Their gross score of 70 was enough to beat their playing partners Rae and Angelo Kondes by 1.8 strokes as they were left to settle for second on 68.4.
Rae and Angelo encountered unfortunate double bogey slip ups on holes 10 and 12 but still managed to hold onto the runners-up position, finishing over a shot better than third. The last of the main prizes saw return member Simon Williams along with Pierre Lefebvre combine solidly to produce 69.8, just 0.2 ahead of father daughter duo John and Beth Kiddie. The two special events were collected by Terri Stewart for her nearest the pin effort on Hole 7 along with Tony Cashman for his arrow straight drive down Hole 17.
